Finn Balor gets the Intercontinental Title match against Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania
Finn Balor beat Bobby Lashley and Jinder Mahal in a 2 on 1 handicapped match to get an opportunity for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania.
Finn Balor won the Intercontinental Championship when he pinned Lio Rush at Elimination Chamber in another 2 on 1 Handicapped match against the then champion Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush. After a few weeks of drama, he lost it again to Lashley at RAW two weeks ago after a distraction by Lio Rush helped Lashley. Last week again, Balor and Lashley took part in a tag team match with Braun Strowman and Lio Rush in their teams respectively.
This week, Balor was asked to beat Bobby Lashley in another 2 on 1 Handicapped match to get the title match at WrestleMania. Jinder Mahal partnered Lashley for the match with Lio Rush and the Singh Brother at the ringside. After initial control from Lashley, Balor took down all of them in quick succession and hit a Coup De Grace on Mahal to win the match.
It is highly speculated that Balor will bring out his Demon Persona at WrestleMania in the face of a tough opponent in Bobby Lashley. Last time he used it was when he defeated Baron Corbin at SummerSlam last year. WrestleMania 35 will take place at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on 7 April this year.
