Shane McMahon Announces WrestleMania Match

With the buildup of more than two months now, Shane McMahon has finally announced that he will face the Miz at WrestleMania this year.

Shane opened this week’s SmackDown as he stood next to his Best in the World trophy. He asked for the ring announcer who introduced him as the Best in the World. But Shane, unhappy with his lack of conviction, chokes him in the corner and told him to announce him again. Shane told us that he has got sick and tired of all the people in his life who have been rubbing up against him to get ahead in their life. And that stopped at Fastlane when he beat Miz in his own home town. He is not the Best in the World because he won a trophy but because he was born that way. He had such an amazing time beating Miz and that he’s gonna continue with it on the Grandest Stage of them all, WrestleMania.

The storyline was clearly going towards the WrestleMania match between these ever since they formed the tag team back at the start of the year. They won the SmackDown tag team championship at the Royal Rumble from the Bar only to lose it at next event at Elimination Chamber to the Usos. Shane McMahon called for the rematch at Fastlane after the Usos mocked Miz. But after Miz was pinned by a roll up at Fastlane, Shane lost his cool and imploded on him. After that, the only thing left was the announcement for the Wrestle Mania match.

WrestleMania will take place at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey on 7 April this year.
