Which ending will WWE go for NXT North American Championship Match?

The NXT North American Championship match between the champion Johnny Gargano and the challenger, Worlds Collide Tournament winner Velveteen Dream was earlier reported to be telecast on 27th February episode of NXT but WWE has now advertised it for tonight’s episode. And during the tappings for this episode, two endings were recorded with Velveteen Dream winning in the original finish but Johnny Gargano hits his finisher and run away with the belt in the second one. So which of these two endings will WWE go for?

Velveteen Dream was the winner of first Worlds Collide Tournament which took place at the Royal Rumble Axxess event and was telecast one week later on 2nd February. As the winner, Dream got the opportunity to challenge a champion of his choice for the title. On 6th Feb. episode of NXT, Dream chose to challenge NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano and the said match will be telecast on tonight’s episode of NXT. However, since the episode tapings took place on 30th January at Full Sail University, the complete results for the three episodes have come out in media.

As per the reports from various wrestling websites, Velveteen Dream managed to hit Dream Valley Drivers and purple rainmaker to win the match. Post-match, as Dream was celebrating, Gargano attacked him and ran away with the belt. Meanwhile, Tommaso Ciampa came out to the ramp and they both celebrated lifting their belts. However, what was seen as the post-match attack from Gargano, was actually the tapping of the alternate ending where Gargano managed to avoid the Purple Rainmaker and managed to get the submission from Dream to retain his title. These two ending were tapped to discount the effect of spoilers.

Velveteen Dream is seen celebrating his NXT North American Championship win

This week, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano were seen reunited this week at RAW and SmackDown episodes. Also both were shown as the Champions. So, it will be highly unlikely that WWE will take off the championship from his hands on the very next day. On the other hand, Dream has been highlighted for last few weeks. First he won the Worlds Collide Tournament and then he was the star of the Halftime Heat Tag Team match when he managed to pin Adam Cole. So the logic for keeping both the endings seems equal and hence it becomes more intresting to see who will finally comes out as the winner.
