Intercontinental Title Matches announced for RAW this week

Hello and welcome to the RAW episode of 4th February 2019. We will bring you updates on the proceedings. Today’s lineup is as follows:

1. Sasha Banks and Bayley vs Alicia Fox and Nikki Cross – Women Tag Team Qualifiers match for Elimination Chamber
2. Bobby Lashley(c) vs Finn Balor – Intercontinental Championship Match
3. Elias vs Jeff Jarrett
4. Kurt Angle to address his future
5. Segment with Stephaine McMahon and Becky Lynch
6. Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin-Drew McIntyre Storyline

Becky and Stephanie Open RAW

Stephanie opens the show and Becky makes her way to the ring with a supposedly injured left leg. They show the replay of Ronda’s verbal last week. Becky says she is going to slap the head of Ronda Rousey. Stephaine asks if she is okay since she is wearing a brace. Then she shows how Becky got injured at Royal Rumble and makes a case for having a medical evaluation.

Stephanie says she can’t allow Becky to compete unless she gets checked out by a doctor to which Lynch replies that Stephaine is just another person trying to stand in her way because she is the glitch in their system that they didn’t plan for. When Becky refuses to get herself checked, Stephaine goes on to suspend Becky, leading to Becky assaulting her. Becky tries to put her in DisArmHer but her knee gives out. Security and other officials come out to take Becky away.

Ronda and Becky are face to face at backstage. Ronda tells her she should rest until WrestleMania to get better so that she can beat her at WM.

Ronda Rousey vs Liv Morgan

Liv is trying to frustrate Ronda by running away from the ring and her antics. Ronda goes for the punch which Liv dodges but Ronda punches her in the midsection and immediately puts her in armbar to get a submission victory.

Winner- Ronda Rousey via submission

Ronda Rousey vs Sarah Logan

Rousey then dares someone else to face her and Logan gets in the ring for the match. Logan drives Ronda to the corner, but Rousey counters and rolls her into an armbar. Sarah avoids the submission by rolling to the ropes and Rubby Riott pulls her out of the ring as we head to break. Ronda has Logan locked in a triangle choke but she overpowered her and drives her to the corner. Ronda nails Sarah with some punches and then rolls her to lock her in armbar to submission win.

Winner- Ronda Rousey via submission

Riott Squad was leaving the arena when Rudy Riott started teasing going into the ring but then decides against it. Backstage in an interview, Ruby says she will beat Ronda and win the Women’s championship but not tonight since Liv and Sarah are hurt and she has to look after them.

Bayley and Sasha are discussing something when the interviewer comes up to them and asks if they are going to survive against the unusual team of Alicia Fox and Nikki Cross. Bayley refutes her saying they are not failures and drove Ronda to their limit. As a team, they are the best and will make history at Elimination chamber. Nikki and Alicia come up and mocks them.

Heavy Machinery vs Lucha House Party vs the Revival vs B-Team – Fatal 4-way Tag Team Match

Winner of this match will get the tag team title opportunity. Axel and Metalik start and Metalik before tagging Dorado for a quick double team. Lince keeps the upper hand when Wilder comes in. Otis tags in for some double-team attack on Wilder. Tucker comes in and helps Otis to take down The B-Team duo. LHP hits them with moonsaults on the floor. Tucker and Otis work on Dawson and send him out of the ring onto others.

Dawson hits Metalik with a backdrop for a two-count. Revival continue to work on Metalik with some double team until Dorado tags in. Dorado hits a high crossbody, dropkick and a subsequent moonsault on Dawson for a near fall. Bo Dallas tags in for Dawson and Otis tags himself in from Dorado. Oris clears every one. He goes on to hit the caterpillar elbow drop. Axel breaks up the pin. Knight comes in and takes Alex to the floor. Wilder takes the tag from Otis and throws him out. Revival hits Dallas with the Shatter Machine for the pin and the win.

Winner- The Revival with a pinfall.

Kurt Angle Addresses Fans

Kurt starts with saying, ‘Intensity, integrity and intelligence’ have been his motive’ and then he continues to list his achievements. He then says that past few matches does not turn out that good. He has beaten all of the great wrestlers in his career and he won Olympic gold with a broken neck but he can’t beat time.

Corbin interrupts and insults Angle. McIntyre joins Corbin on the stage and says Angle needs to accept that he can’t wrestle anymore. Corbin and McIntyre head to the ring to attack Angle when Braun Strowman comes out to save the day. Angle fights Corbin while Braun takes on Drew at ringside and forces them to run away in the crowd.

A Tag Team match is announced between Kurt Angle & Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin-Drew McIntyre.

Sasha Banks and Bayley vs Nikki Cross and Alicia Fox – Tag Team Championship Qualifier Match

Cross and Fox have attacked Sasha and Bayley at the entrance. Bayley tries to comeback but Cross-Fox takes the upper hand until officials come up and break the fight.

After the break, Bayley clotheslines Nikki and drives her in the corner. Sasha is injured and Bayley is fighting on her own. She continues her attack with a crossbody on Fox until Fox takes control with a scissor kick on Bayley. Fox with a chin lock on Bayley. She tags Cross as they hang Bayley upside down on the turnbuckle and continue the punishment, keeping control in the corner. Bayley has rolled out of the ring and Nikki takes her out with a suicide dive. Nikki sets Bayley at the ring post and was about to run into her but Sasha pulls her out and Nikki collapsed on the post. When Bayley gets back in the ring, she rolls up Fox to get the pin.

Winner- Bayley and Sasha Banks with a pinfall.

Elias vs Jeff Jarrett (w/ Road Dogg)

Road Dogg makes his way to the ring and starts performing before he announces Jeff Jarrett. Dogg says they didn’t get to finish their song last week hence they start singing again until Elias interrupts. He says their song has not aged well. He disses on Dogg and Jarrett and then he disses on the crowd and asks for a standing ovation from the crowd.

Jarrett comes out of the ring to welcome Elias with punches. As they get back in the ring, he continues his assault to force Elias to roll out of the ring from where he is forced to return by Road Dogg.

Elias has taken control of the match and drives Jarrett to the barricade. Jeff counters a clothesline with a punch. He throws Elias on the rope and Elias replies with a high knee. Elias puts Jarrett in a chin lock. Jarrett tries to overpower but Elias hits him with a suplex. Elias kicks Dogg in the face. Jarrett hits him with enziguiri. Elias hits the drift away and gets the pin.

Winner- Elias with a pinfall

Dogg comes in the ring to Elias from behind. Dogg distracts Elias and Jarrett hits him with a guitar.

Finn Balor vs Lio Rush

Balor is sporting a bandage on his lower ribs. Rush mocks Balor from the entrance while Lashley says he is better than Brock and Balor needs to fight the people of his own size. Lashley announces if Balor beats Rush, only then he will give a title shot. Rush proceeds to the ring for the match but Lashley attacks Balor before the bell rings. After checking with Balor, the referee starts the match.
Rush attacks straight away, driving Balor in the corner. Balor comes out of the corner but Rush punches in his injured ribs. Rush gets tripped and Balor stomps a mudhole in him. As Rush rolls out of the ring, Balor hit him with a dropkick when Lashley pulls him off of the apron. Referee orders Lashley to go backstage instead of calling a DQ. Rush hits Balor with a suicide dive and Balor sells his rib injury.

Rush holds Balor in an abdominal stretch but Finn breaks free with a kick to the face. He climbs to the top turnbuckle but Lio trips him and climbs up the turnbuckle to hit a hurricanrana. Balor hits sling blade but could not follow up. Rush hit a few kicks and springboard stunner. Balor moves away from the splash and hit Rush with a low dropkick. Balor hits Coup de’ Grace to get the pin and the win.

Winner- Finn Balor with the pinfall

Lashley rushes to the ring to attack Balor but he rolls out of the ring and goes away.

Paige comes out to promote her movie- “Fighting with the Family”.

A Moment of Bliss with EC3

Bliss asks EC3 to which roaster he wants to join- RAW and SmackDown. Before he can answer, Nia Jax and Tamina interrupt them. Nia says it was an amazing week for her as she entered Men’s Royal Rumble, is going to Elimination Chamber match, Twitter is ablaze about her and she might also replace Becky at WM. Dean Ambrose enters and says Jax has a crush on him. He knocks the mic out of EC3’s hand and asks him who he is and where are EC1 and EC2? He mocks him by saying that he looks like a Creed fan. EC3 punches him in the face and walks to the ring for the match.

EC3 vs Dean Ambrose

Carter gets the early advantage, but a moment of distraction allows Ambrose to drive his shoulder into the ring post. Ambrose with kicks on his face followed by a clothesline and has now locked EC3 in a chin lock. EC3 fights back with a punches and then nails a flying elbow and a modified STO backbreaker. Dean hits with a kick in the midsection and goes for the Dirty Deeds but EC3 rolls him for the pin.

Winner- EC3 with the pinfall

Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre

Angle with a German suplex right away on Corbin and he goes for Angle lock but McIntyre pulls Corbin out of the ring. Strowman with a running shoulder on McIntyre at the ringside. Corbin goes back in the ring to be hit by another German suplex by Angle. Angle goes for Angle Lock again but Corbin comes up with a cheap shot on Angle’s face.

Corbin is keeping control over Angle. Corbin and Drew double teams with kicks on Angle. Angle tries to come back and throw Corbin on the ropes but he rolls out. Corbin comes back in the ring to take a cheap shot on Strowman. Angle goes for the Angle lock again but McIntyre interferes with a big boot. Drew hits Angle with his own Angle Slam and locks him in Angle lock. Angle fights back to tag Strowman. Strowman tackles McIntyre and hit Corbin on the apron. He gives another splash to McIntyre. Strowman hits a big blow on McIntyre’s chest. He goes for his finishing Running Powerslam but McIntyre escapes to tag in Corbin. Corbin slams Strowman’s face against the ring posts and the ring barricade.

Back in the ring, Drew with a backbreaker on Strowman. Corbin comes in and doubles team Strowman with a slam. They again go for the double team suplex but Strowman counters with a double suplex and tags Angle. He hit a German suplex on Corbin and McIntyre. He hit angle slam on Corbin but the subsequent pin was broken by McIntyre. Strowman attacks McIntyre and then attacks Corbin. The referee suddenly remembers the rules and DQ the match since Strowman was not the legal man.

Winners- Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin via disqualification

Strowman goes after his opponents on the outside of the ring but gets hit with a Claymore kick in the face. They slam Angle into the ring steps and start picking things apart, putting the base of the steps inside the ring. They go for a double chokeslam to Angle on the steps but Strowman interferes and gives chokeslams to Corbin & McIntyre on the steel steps. Angle and Strowman stand tall as the show comes to an end.
